Staff Bio

Kathy Ryan - Jazz/Tap Teacher

Kathy brings a long and varied background to Utica Dance. Her professional theater credits include George M!, 42nd Street, Peter Pan, Rigoletto, Greg Thompson's Follies and A Chorus Line. She was featured dancer at the Aladdin Theatre in Oranjastaad, Aruba. In 1999 and 2000 Kathy traveled to Germany with the U.S. Tap Team as assistant to the choreographer and rehearsal captain. She has judged dance competitions throughout the US and Canada for Dance Masters, Star Power and Premiere 2000.

Kathy attended SUNY Buffalo and is a member of Actors Equity Association. She taught at the Munson Williams Proctor Arts Institute for nineteen years and has been a guest faculty member at Hamilton College since 2005.
