Lindsey LaFountain - Modern Dance Specialist

Lindsey began her dance training in Utica at the Munson Williams Proctor Arts Institute School of Dance in 1990. She received her Bachelors of Fine Arts in Dance in 2007 from The University of the Arts in Philadelphia, PA. She also studied with Philadelphia Dance Company and Koresh School of Dance. Upon graduating, Lindsey danced under the direction of Zane Booker as a company member, and as Artistic Associate for The Smoke, Lilies & Jade Arts Initiative (SLJ). While touring with SLJ, Lindsey had the privilege of performing and teaching master classes in Trois-Rivieres, Canada.

In 2009 Lindsey moved to Chicago to join Giordano Dance Chicago’s professional main company. During her career with Giordano Dance, she toured and performed with the company throughout the United States and Europe. In addition to her professional career, she has also received training in ballroom dance and is a certified Zumba instructor. She has been on the faculty at Gus Giordano Dance School, Foster Dance Studios, The Joffrey, and was honored to teach at Chicago National Association of Dance Masters Workshops. After performing with Giordano Dance Chicago for four and a half years, Lindsey performed as a guest with the aerial dance company C5, in Chicago’s annual Dance For Life production.

Lindsey formally joined Utica Dance in 2014 as a Modern Dance Specialist.
